SoarTech, developer of TacAir-Soar, the world’s smartest fully-autonomous pilot agent, and the SAGE visualization for the award winning MAGIC robotic control suite, is seeking smart, energetic staff to join us in advancing the state of the art in intelligent robotics control, serious games, and other related fields.
SoarTech is currently seeking software engineers, AI engineers, and principal investigators in multiple locations for immediate or future employment.
Engineers at SoarTech participate in all phases of development and have opportunities to learn and advance ideas, technologies, and software products. We are seeking skilled problem solvers with good design and programming skills in Java or C++ (Software Engineers) and specialists with experience in Artificial Intelligence (AI Engineers). Engineers must be able to both think and act independently and support team members to effectively accomplish project objectives. Project teams consist of SoarTech staff, partners from industry and academia, as well as customers or sponsors.
Applicants for engineer positions must know either Java or C++ and be able to use one or more IDEs (e.g., Eclipse) and interactive debuggers effectively. We are looking for candidates with a BS or MS in Computer Engineering (or a related field). Experience or coursework in one of the following is valuable, although not required: artificial intelligence, human behavior modeling, cognitive modeling, multi-agent systems, agent-based social simulation, intelligent user interfaces, complex adaptive systems, decision support systems, simulation, robotics, data fusion, and/or game development.
SoarTech is seeking junior and senior Principal Investigators (PIs) or research scientists. PIs have primary responsibility for the development of research proposals and authority over the execution of projects including research outcomes, engineering accomplishments, and personnel and budget oversight. We are seeking candidates with PhDs in Computer Engineering or a related field. Experienced candidates should have familiarity with the DoD research community and the ability to help position SoarTech for growth in that industry. Experience as the PI of a major program and an established record of research accomplishment, including a history of obtaining significant external funding in the DoD research community is valuable. Experience in fields such as robotics, training, ISR, or other application areas relevant to SoarTech, including a background in artificial intelligence (AI), cognitive architectures, or related technologies, is also valuable.
Detailed job descriptions are available below. Interested candidates must be a US citizen and able to qualify for a security clearance. To express your interest in any position at SoarTech, please send your resume to jobs@soartech.com.
