Glenn E. Taylor

Senior Scientist
Received a B.S. in Computer Science (1994), and an M.S. in Computer Science and Engineering (1996), both from the University of Michigan. Mr. Taylor has over eight years of software industry experience, over five of which have been spent at Soar Technology. His work includes developing agent-based simulations in various domains, as well as tools to support agent technology. He has managed over $2M in R&D contracts, and is currently the Principle Investigator for several efforts, including: AGILE, a multi-agent system to model geo-political conflict and support nation state analysis; VISTA, a toolkit for adding explanation to intelligent agents; and SOF-Soar, an agent-based model of Special Operations Forces in tactical simulations. He has participated in the development of TacAir-Soar and other real-time agent-based models of human behavior. He is the Sector Lead for Behavior Engineers, responsible for staying up to date in current research and tools for behavior development, and guiding and advising Behavior Developers at Soar Technology. He has extensive experience in knowledge acquisition and elicitation, and has numerous publications in the area of intelligent agents and agent-based systems. He is a member of the Association for Computing Machinery, the Cognitive Science Society, and the Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
