The Universal Controller is a uniform, speech-based interface for tasking entities across a variety of platforms, making entities smarter and tasking more natural. The Universal Controller frees operators from having to learn and simultaneously operate many, nonintuitive user interfaces. It also supplements less capable platforms by providing the intelligence to understand doctrinally correct speech and exhibit correct speech and behaviors. Originally, developed for simulated air-traffic-control mission rehearsal, the Universal Controller can also provide a powerful speech interface to multiple robotic/unmanned platforms or simulation-based training systems, or wherever using a live human operator is too dangerous or costly.
