One result of the “cognitive revolution” was the development of cognitive architectures that incorporate cognitive theories into a computational form that can be used to inform and constrain cognitive model development. This paper attempts to draw lessons learned from cognitive architecture development as a potential roadmap for how to develop theory-based computational architectures for computational social science research.
