SoarTech, teamed with the University of Michigan was awarded first place at the inaugural Multi Autonomous Ground-robotic International Challenge (MAGIC 2010). SoarTech’s real-time highlights feature SAGE (Situation, Actions, Goals, Environment) impressed the judges and helped Team Michigan take first in the competition to develop a team of robots that could operate autonomously in urban combat zones. The competition’s judges thought SAGE’s ability to reduce the cognitive load of operators as they contend with managing multiple autonomous robots performing tasks in a dynamic environment was impressive.
